For those of you who do not know what I am, I’m a Rafeiro do Alentejo (Alentejian Mastiff). We are Portugal’s biggest breed of dog, when I say biggest I mean in size. Our average weight is around the 75Kg (165Lbs) for males and 55Kg (121Lbs) for females, I weigh in at 63 Kg (138Lbs), but I’m not “fat” as a lot of silly humans think, I’m just slightly bigger than normal, LoL.

I was born on the 29th of November 2006 in a village in the Alentejo called Alcaçovas and on the 4th of January 2007 my “dad” picked me up and took me to my new home where my “mum” was waiting un-aware that I was on the way. Wow, did she have a shock or what! She was over the moon.

As both my mum and dad keep saying, I’m a stuburn, bull-headed rat bag at times, but a loving, soft, gentle hound who isn’t afraid of a thing and is not shy in letting strangers know to keep their distance or else... Mind you, what do they expect, LoL, I’m a typical Alentejian Mastiff and we are very protective of who we love.
